Last updated October 24, 2026. Draft for review before launch.
This explains what we collect when you make or receive a film, how we use it, and how long we keep it.
The photo is used only to place the person's face into their film. We don't use it to identify anyone, we don't add it to any database, and we don't use it to train AI models. The photo is deleted as soon as the film is made.
The finished film is kept so the recipient can watch it. The recipient can remove it at any time with one tap, and it's deleted from our systems.
Only the service providers that help us run Gift a Film, such as payment processing (Stripe), hosting, AI video processing, and email or text delivery. They may use the data only to provide their service to us. We don't sell your data.
Gift a Film is for adults only. We don't knowingly accept photos of anyone under 18 and will delete any we find.
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information, and recipients can remove their film at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy laws.
We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do.
